Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable

Simple is king

Driving along the freeway each day and working in the city, graffiti is something I see on a Regular Basis. Graffiti, when done right, can be creative, inspiring and even beautiful. Not to be confused with those ridiculous “Tags” where people just write their own name. I believe that there is a massively under-appreciated  skill in creating a message with the simplest of tools.

Follow your dreams

Follow your dreams

There is inspiring art, from many artists all over the modern world, But it takes a creative soul to make the darkest, dingiest places of our everyday life, and brighten them with just a cheap lick of paint and a thought provoking idea.

Enhancing the everyday

Enhancing the everyday

This isn’t for mass marketing, its not for media outlets, its not commissioned and it definitely isn’t for sale, considering they give it away for free to everyone. Its art.

Could be on the wall of your apartment?

Could be on the wall of your apartment?

Its an idea that is displayed on a wall, building, lamppost. Its in a car park, abandoned lot or alley way. Its designed to make you think. And If it stops you for 2 seconds and makes you re-evaluate, question or breaks up your everyday cycle. then it becomes something so much stronger than paint on a wall.

Is it art, or Vandalism?

Is it art, or Vandalism?

Hopefully next time you see some writing on a wall, or some painting on a building, Its an image which brightens your day or provokes you to think.

Because thats what real art is meant to do.
