Keeping things current

It was time for a change to my twitter profile page and I thought I’d give a little insight into my process.

Due to my recently update logo there was a need to change my twitter header. Twitter comes with a handful of pre-made options but to stand out it makes sense to create your own.

It also becomes a perfect opportunity to show off some previous work, kind of like a mini portfolio. Now it was just a matter of how.

We will work with the 520px wide by 260px tall dimensions to make sure our chosen design fits perfectly, When designing be conscious of where our profile picture will sit, where our text falls, colour of text and readability, and the slight shading that twitter automatically adds to any design.

Incorporating previous work

I found that I didn’t want something too busy, and didn’t want to overwhelm the senses and lose the impact of what I was trying to create so I needed to pull it back a little.

Displayed colour work

I liked this clean display option, easy to view, simple, crisp and identifiable. A great chance to display some work, create interest and still be subtle. Due to the white font I decided to run with a grey scale for my decided header.
